The Short Version:

 

We reopen Tuesday, July 14!

 

Our doors are locked at all times to limit the number of people in the reception area at once.

 

 

You will be screened before entering.

 

 

You MUST wear a mask.

 

While your mask is off for treatment, you must refrain from talking.

 

If you have an appointment already scheduled, you will be getting a phone call, text or email to adjust the service and/or start time.

 

We are offering a boutique service menu for now:

 

 All services including Acne treatments are limited to 50-60 minutes and are $154.21. (excludes Hydrafacials)

 

Yes, we did the math. We didn't add even a penny more than we needed to.

 

We really didn’t want to adjust prices, and we didn’t have a choice. It was either adjust or close the doors permanently. We adjusted.

The Long Version:

Covid-19 and the SARS-cov2 virus that causes it has thrown our world upside down. The skin care /spa industry has been critically affected as well.

 

The virus is highly contagious, and many people who are asymptomatic have been shown to be actively spreading the disease, completely unaware that they are putting peoples lives at risk.

 

The State of Rhode Island department of Health has determined that we may provide skin care services in Phase 3, provided we follow strict guidelines:

Our capacity must remain at no more than 2 clients in the reception area at a time. When you arrive, please do not arrive more than 5 minutes before your scheduled appointment. Our clinic doors are locked at all times, and we are not allowed to provide waiting areas of any kind. We are unable to accommodate guests or family members in the reception area. Please come alone, on time.

 

When you do arrive, we will ask you a whole bunch of questions:

Have you had any of the following symptoms in the last 3 days that are not explained by allergies or a non-infectious cause?

  • cough
  • shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
  • fever or chills
  • muscle or body aches
  • sore throat
  • headache
  • nausea or vomiting
  • diarrhea
  • runny nose or stuffy nose
  • fatigue
  • recent loss of taste or smell
  • Have you been in close contact (less than six feet) with anyone with COVID-19 or symptoms of COVID-19 in the past 14 days? (this excludes health professionals using full PPE).
  • Have you been directed to quarantine or isolate by the Rhode Island Department of Health or a healthcare provider in the past 14 days?

All clients and staff MUST be screened before entering the establishment.  If you can answer YES to ANY of those questions, you will be asked to reschedule. Please be honest!

 

Giving a facial service is considered high risk. We will also ask you the following:

Do you agree to wear a mask over both your mouth and nose in all common areas for the duration of your time at Viriditas?

Do you agree to limit conversation while your mask is removed for treatment?

If you answer NO, you will be asked to reschedule.

 

All clients and staff are REQUIRED to wear a mask over their nose and mouth at all times in the building, and this includes at Viriditas. During your treatment, you may remove the mask, AND WE MUST ASK YOU TO REFRAIN FROM ANY CONVERSATION while your mask is off. This is the time of highest risk to both you and our staff. Please save your questions until after your treatment, when you have replaced your mask.

 

All clients and staff must have their temperature taken before entering. Anything at or above 100.4F is considered a fever. We have invested in touch-less digital thermometers and if you have a fever, you will be asked to reschedule.

 

Because we have a small office, we must limit the number of clients to 2 people in the reception area at a time. To achieve that, we have enacted staggered start times, and uniform booking times.

 

We have limited all services to 50 minutes: this allows us to still offer outstanding services as well as provide for the mandatory 15 minutes of disinfection contact time after every service.

 

In order for us to remain solvent and continue to provide the level of service you have come to expect, we have had to adjust prices and services to meet these guidelines.

 

We are offering a boutique menu for the foreseeable future. We still have all the fabulous Hydrafacials and bespoke treatments you have come to expect, plus we have adjusted our AcneRX treatment to include more calming and pimple prevention with a mask or LED therapy.

 

These were not decisions we took lightly. To date, we have purchased several thousands of dollars worth of PPE including gallons of hospital grade disinfectant, hand sanitizer, hundreds of aprons that can be changed out and laundered after every service, mandatory KN95 face masks for our service providers, special bed covers that can withstand constant use of heavy disinfectants, mandatory face shields, full upper body shields, activated hydrogen peroxide (hospital grade) wipes and disinfecting sprays, and much more.

 

Most of you already know what sticklers we are for cleanliness and sanitation, and we've taken it the next level.

 

You will see that we clean and disinfect all common surfaces every 30 minutes. Treatment rooms are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected following a 15 point checklist after every client. We are keeping the windows open to encourage fresh air. We are encouraging touch-less or minimal contact checkout. Heck we even sanitize the pens!

 

The bottom line is we are doing everything in our power to provide you, our team and our community with outstanding services that are as safe as possible. We care. We know you do too.
